Deacons

Central Deacons

Unlike House Church Deacons, who serve within individual house churches, Central Deacons serve the broader body of Convergence Church. They assist the Central Elders in both counsel and ministry, helping the church function in wisdom, integrity, and love. Central Deacons fall into two categories: Central Advisory Deacons and Central Ministerial Deacons.

Central Advisory Deacons

Central Advisory Deacons provide wisdom and counsel to the Central Elders, participating in elder meetings not as voters but as trusted advisors. They also serve as intermediaries in situations involving conflict, abuse, or whistleblower concerns—helping ensure fairness, accountability, and a safe culture for all.

Central Ministerial Deacons

Central Ministerial Deacons serve the members of Convergence according to their spiritual gifts and callings. Appointed by the Central Elders, they meet practical and pastoral needs across the church’s ministries, extending care and support to the entire body.
