it’s one of the most honest questions we ask when life falls apart: “where was God?” in this message, sam storms walks us through 2 corinthians 1:1-7 and shows us who God is in the middle of our pain: the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. paul wrote this letter from deep suffering, so he knows what he’s talking about. if you’re hurting, confused, or tired of asking “why me?”... this one’s for you. “blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction.” 2 corinthians 1:3-4 not just comfort from God, but comfort in who God is. not just pain for me, but purpose for others. not “why me?” but “who else?”
